After a heated battle, I finally beat the bastard & all his mates. Yeah I know the feeling: I beat King Yaroglec along with some of his heroes with him so it was about 400+ troops against my band of 108.

I see 'knocked King Harlaus unconscious' and 'you receive 500 experience' then after the battle I'm given the option to take him prisoner. I heard no 'Well, the battle's going well NOW THAT THE KING IS CAPTURED' or 'Good job, keep it up and you just might make a decent Nord!' or anything remotely encouraging. What happened next surprised me: I rode all over the country, visiting towns, doing missions, fighting bandits, Swadians, and other assorted enemies.and even met with various Nord lords.and at no point did anyone comment on my having captured the king OF THE ENEMY OF THE NORDS. This was with a new-ish Nord character, not yet a sworn vassal, just leader of a mid-size mercenary band.

Today I captured (unexpectedly) the king of Swadia after a typical pitched battle.
